We visited Truman Middle School to learn more about
their use of technology in the classroom. I have to say I was amazed! These
students were vested in their learning. The students were excited to show off
what they were learning and how they were doing it!

Each student I talked
with could tell me about apps I had never heard of before. There was
collaboration and a culture of learning present in EVERY classroom. In the
science classroom, students were still expected to have a science journal
(like scientists in the real world), but the students could share their
results and projects online.
This method of sharing
seems exciting for the students because they could see out of school
possibilities. Seeing students so excited to share their knowledge and not afraid
to do so has made our 1:1 initiative even more exciting and I am ready to
dive in. What a great time to be a tiger!
